Esmeralda Amador, age 4, of Storm Lake, Iowa, passed away on April 4, 2016, in Omaha, Nebraska.

A daughter of Ramiro Amador-Leal and Angela A. Amador, Esmeralda was born on June 17, 2011, in Omaha, Nebraska. In time, she would welcome home her little brother, Ramiro Ramon Amador. A beautiful little girl with a contagious smile, she would light up when Ramiro entered the room to play with her. She loved her little brother. She enjoyed dancing and talking. In addition, she loved outdoor activities, especially hunting and fishing. Of all the animals, she liked horses the most. She, especially, loved spending time cooking and baking with her family. An eternal blessing to her family and friends, she left footprints in the hearts of many. Forever loved, she will never be forgotten.

Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Ramiro Amador-Leal and Angela A. Amador of Storm Lake, Iowa; her brother, Ramiro Ramon Amador, also of Storm Lake, Iowa; her maternal grandparents, José and Alicia Rodriguez; her paternal grandmother, Andrea Leal; her grandpa, Ramon Ruelas; her aunts: Bertha, Elizabeth, and Josephina Amador; Maria Gonzales; and Maria Quezada; and her uncles: Anastasio, Antonio, Isidro, and Marino Amador; José Guadalupé; and Joe and Estevan Rodriguez; as well as extended family members and many friends.

Esmeralda was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Antonio Amador; her great grandma, Maria Guadalupé Blanco; her uncle, Ricardo Amador; and her cousin, Valentin.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 7, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will take place Wednesday, April 6, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
