July 7, 1927 - Storm Lake Register - Samuel Danielson, one of Storm Lakes citizens, passed away at his home 617 Superior Street Wednesday afternoon June 29, 1927. He had been ailing for some time but not until a few weeks ago was he bedridden. He has lived here since 1875.
Samuel Danielson was born in Glashammer, Skaland, Sweden in 1839 and settled later in Jamestown, Pa with his parents. In 1870 he was united in marriage to Frederika Wilhelmina Erickson at Titusville, Pa. To this union four children were born: C.E. Danielson of Storm Lake, Selma Mullins who passed away Nov 19, 1915; Elvid W of Osage, Wyoming; and H.V. Danielson, who is at home.
Sept 13, 1891, he was united in marriage to Anna Charlotte Anderson of Storm Lake and to this union one child was born, Edith Rodda of Newell.
While in Storm Lake Mr Danielson was employed in mason work for a number of years.
On June 29, 1927 Mr Danielson departed this life at the age of 84 years, 7 months, and 5 days.
He leaves to mourn besides his wife and children, nine grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the home. Interment was made in the local cemetery.
Out-of-town people present at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dornwall of Marathon; Mr. and Mrs. Emil Mark, of Alta; Mr. and Mrs. W. Peterson of Alta; Mrs. Frank Hines and Esther Hines of Newell, and Mrs. Martha Rodda of Newell.
