Storm Lake Pilot-Tribune - June 6, 1946 - Funeral services for Mrs Iva M Dahlberg, who died Friday morning, were held Monday afternoon at the Hughes funeral home. Burial was in the Storm Lake cemetery.

Mrs Iva M Dahlberg, pioneer Storm Lake lady, fell and suffered a broken hip last Tuesday evening at her home on Otsego street. She was immediately taken to a local hospital but her condition grew steadily worse until death came at 8:30 Friday morning.

Iva M Campbell was born at Macomb, IL Oct 23, 1859 and died at the age of 86 years, 7 months, and 8 days.

Mrs Dahlberg was one of Storm Lakes pioneers. On May 1, 1872 her parents, Mr and Mrs J.A. Campbell and two sisters came to Storm Lake. Her father, one of Storm Lakes pioneer attorneys, also conducted one of the first general stores here for many years. Her father was a Union veteran and served during the Civil War. It was interesting to hear her tell of many incidents and experiences they encountered as they journeyed from the south to the north. At one time they were captured and held prisoners by Quantrill and his guerilla band including Jesse James for about 9 months.

Mrs Dahlberg received her education in the Storm Lake schools. In 1902 she was united in marriage to Charles N Dahlberg, who passed away 1915.

She leaves to mourn one sister, Ida J Ferguson of this city, one nephew Earl J Ferguson and his wife, other relatives and friends.
