February 8, 1923 - Storm Lake Register - Christ Caboth, a resident of Storm Lake for several years, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs Louis Otto, near Galva Monday evening, Feb 5, about 7 o'clock, and his death is deeply mourned by relatives and hosts of friends.

He had been subject to bronchial trouble for a number of years although his condition was never considered serious until he was taken ill some days before his death at the home of his daughter, where he and Mrs Caboth were visiting.

Mr Caboth was born in Germany and died at Galva Monday Feb 5, at the age of 70 years, 11 months and 5 days.

When a young man he came to America and he lived near Galva for a number of years, coming to Storm Lake to make his home two years ago last October. He was active in all affairs for the good of the community in which he lived and was highly esteemed by all who know him.

He is survived by his wife and six children: Mrs Will Fuller of Schaller; Herman of near Storm Lake; John of Schaller; Mrs Louise Otto of Galva; and Christ and Gussie at home, besides other relatives and numerous friends.

Funeral services were held at the Otto home near Galva Thursday morning and from the German M.E. church in Storm Lake. Interment was in the Storm Lake cemetery.
