April 19, 1912 - Storm Lake Buena Vista Vidette - Saturday morning, April 13, 1912, it was learned that Grandpa Buckingham had died that morning. It was known that he had been ill for a long time and death had been expected daily on account of his weakened condition.

He was born May 31, 1835, near Miamasyille, Clairmont, Ohio, and lived there with his parents until he was married in 1855 to Miss Susan Strong. Two children were born to this union, one dying in infancy and the other living until he was fifty-two years of age. They moved to Storm Lake in 1881 and have resided here ever since.

In addition to his loving wife he leaves two sisters, living in Illinois, a daughter-in-law, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The funeral was held Monday at two o'clock at the Christian church, Rev. Harris presiding, and the body was laid to rest in the Storm Lake cemetery. The sympathy is with the bereaved wife.
