Robbie Hartman, age 89, of Lone Tree, Iowa, and formerly of Storm Lake, Iowa, died on March 1, 2016, in Lone Tree.

Robbie Kitsmiller, a daughter of Ernest and Willie (Cagel) Kitsmiller, was born on September 21, 1926, in Sterling, Oklahoma. Growing up, she, also, attended school at and graduated from Sterling High School. Then, on June 25, 1945, she married Ross Hartman in Chickasha, Oklahoma. They were, subsequently, blessed with one son, Chuck.

A dedicated farmwife and a member of the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake, she, also, worked at the Methodist Manor Retirement Community as an aide. In addition, she volunteered at the Buena Vista County Historical Society.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Chuck Hartman, of Lone Tree, Iowa; her sister, Dema Leu, of Comanche, Oklahoma; her brothers, Ernest Arthur (Sharon) Kitsmiller, of Moorhead, Minnesota, and Donald R. (Shirley) Kitsmiller of Sac City, Iowa; and her sister-in-law, Mitcheko Kitsmiller, of Maryland; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Robbie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ross Hartman; two infant children; and a brother, George Kitsmiller.

Visitation will take place on Friday, March 4, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Private family graveside services will be held at the Schaller Cemetery. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
