Brent Earl Edler, age 45, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died on Monday, March 7, 2016, in Storm Lake.

A son of Ronald and Linda (Kelley) Edler, Brent was born on April 14, 1970, in Cherokee, Iowa. Baptized as an infant at the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake, he attended school in Storm Lake where he participated in many school plays and the choir. In 1988, he graduated from Storm Lake High School.

Currently, Brent worked at Marketlink in Storm Lake as a supervisor, a position he had held for the past nine years. He had, also, belonged to the Iowa National Guard for over ten years.

An outdoorsman and a member of Ducks Unlimited, Brent enjoyed both hunting and fishing. An avid NASCAR fan, he would watch their races religiously while sitting with his beloved pets. Most of all, however, he loved spending time with family.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Linda Edler, of Storm Lake, Iowa; his step brothers, Michael Edler, of Liberty, Missouri, and Ronnie Edler, of Overland Park, Kansas; his step-sisters, Connie Edler-Bradford, of Show Low, Arizona, Roseanne Chase, of Wakefield, Nebraska, and Donna McIntyre, of South Sioux City, Nebraska; his aunts and uncles, Jolene (Irvin) Deichmann, of Marcus, Iowa, and Larry (Margaret) Kelley, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and his cousins, Mark (Kathy) Fassler, of Cherokee, Iowa, and Landon (Tara) Kelley, of McKinney, Texas; as well as many extended family members and friends.

Brent was preceded in death by his father, Ronald, and his grandparents, Louis and Nina Kelley and Earl and Grace Edler.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 11, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Cherokee, Iowa. Visitation will take place Thursday, March 10, 2016, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Fratzke and Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. The Fratzke and Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
