Margaret Bjorklund, 84, of Storm Lake and Albert City, died on Monday, February 18, 2002, at the Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City.

Margaret May Beadell, a daughter of Harry and Jenny Maude (Woods) Beadell, was born on May 30, 1917, at Emmetsburg. She attended school in Echo, Minnesota. On December 23, 1935, she married Lester Delbert Bjorklund at Elk Point, South Dakota. After working in restaurants and in the Albert City Bank, she became a co-owner of the Pair Dress Shop in Albert City. She enjoyed crocheting, oil painting, and playing Bingo.

Preceding Margaret in death were her parents; her husband, Lester, on October 10, 1995; two sisters, Mona Beadell and Fern Bendix; and two brothers, Harry and Benjamin Beadell.

Survivors include her daughter, Shirley, and her husband, Al Engebretson, of Storm Lake; her son, Lester, and his wife, Karen Bjorklund, of Bondurant; seven grandchildren: Alene, and her husband, Ronn Rickels, Alesa, and her husband, Todd Case, Alan, and his wife, Connie Engebretson, Alec, and his wife, J. S. Engebretson, Debra, and her husband, Scott Christiansen, Lori, and her husband, Mark Trout, and Kyle Bjorklund; nineteen great grandchildren: Zachary Bjorklund; Teague and Eamon Case; Tyler and Tanner Christiansen; Anthony, Briana, Cody, Colin, Eli, Elisabeth, Josiah, Katrina, and Molly Engebretson; Kipp, Kade, and Keaton Rickels; and Nicole and Justin Trout; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Services for Margaret Bjorklund will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 21, 2002, at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Albert City with Pastor Steven K. Paul officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairfield Township Cemetery. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church. The Sliefert Redig Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
