Peter Back
[August 12, 1832 – April 14, 1917]*

Peter Back died at the home of his son, Charlie, in Alta on Friday of last week [13 Apr 1917] after an illness of several weeks induced by old age and general decline. The deceased had made his home with his son for several years and had no relatives in this country save his son, but had one daughter in Sweden. He served in the Swedish army for twenty-nine years, but since coming here had done little work. The deceased attended the Free Mission church and the funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. M. Olson of Storm Lake. Interment was at Albert City, the former home of Mr. Back.
