Clifford H. Baak
July 20, 1925 – [November 12, 2014]*

Born to Herman and Alvena Detlefs Baak in Charter Oak, Iowa, on July 20, 1925, Clifford H. Baak lived a full and rich life.

He is survived by Ronona Otteman Baak (Noni), with whom he celebrated 60 years this past June. Johathan, Timothy and Tracy, and Nancy and Tom, who affectionately knew him as dad; and seven extraordinary grateful grandchildren: Mary, Mindy, Nikki, and Spencer Baak; Kacie and Jeff Fisher; Matthew and Erin and Michael Movall, who lovingly called him Popper.

Cliff proudly served his country in the Second World War. Wounded in battle in Italy on April 17th, 1945, he earned a Purple Heart. Following the war, he graduated from the University of Iowa Business School in 1951 where he met his future bride, Noni. After completing his degree, he re-enrolled in the Air Force and served during the Korean War. He, then, married Noni on June 13, 1954. In 1956, The Baaks relocated to Newell where Cliff owned and operated the Baak Funeral Home. Cliff and Noni retired to Omaha, Nebraska in 2012.
