Julie (Foell) Holt, age 56, of New Hope, Minnesota, died on Sunday, October 4, 2015, in New Hope.

Julie Ann Foell, a daughter of Richard and Helen (Matthew) Foell, was born on June 27, 1959, in Storm Lake, Iowa. Baptized as an infant at the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake and later confirmed, she attended school in Storm Lake, graduating from Storm Lake High School in 1977. Next, she continued her education at Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville and at Mankato State University.

On January 29, 1994, Julie married Robin Holt at the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake. Then, they moved to New Mexico, but after five years, they returned to the upper Midwest, settling in New Hope, Minnesota.

Julie enjoyed baking cakes, cooking, doing crafts, and going on drives. An avid collector of Barbies and perfumes, she had an extensive collection. A dog lover, she spoil them no end. Most of all, however, Julie loved spending time with her family, especially with her husband, Robin. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Robin Holt, of New Hope, Minnesota; her mother, Helen Foell, of Storm Lake, Iowa; her mother-in-law, Carol Holt, of Knoxville, Tennessee; her brother, Jim (Terry) Foell, of Storm Lake, Iowa; her sisters-in-law, Kim (Marty) Garcia, of York, Pennsylvania, and Shannon Bates, of Phoenix, Arizona; her brother-in-law, Patrick Holt, of New Ulm, Minnesota; her nieces and nephews: Matthew Bates; Stephanie Dersh; Amy, Jeff, Jon, and Nick Foell; James and Michelle Garcia; Gretchen and Hunter Holt; and Mindy Wiltse; and her furry friends, Baci and Coccolare; as well as extended family members and friends.

Julie was preceded in death by her father, Richard Foell; her father-in-law, James Holt; and two great nieces, Madison and Hailey.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 10, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Burial will follow in the Storm Lake Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Humane Society of Minnesota, 475 Cleveland Avenue North, St. Paul, Minnesota 55104. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
