Mark A. Larson, age 67, of Storm Lake, passed away on September 12, 2015, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

Mark Allen Larson, a son of Reverend Clarence (Bud) and Mildred (Qualheim) Larson, was born in Portland, Oregon, on November 30, 1947. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church.

Mark spent most of his life in the Minneapolis, Minnesota, area working in real estate. After retiring, he moved to Florida to be near his son, Matt, and his family. He shared his last year, however, living in Storm Lake near his other son, Andy, and his family.

Mark enjoyed nature and experiencing the outdoors. He, especially, loved golfing and fishing. He could strike up a conversation with anyone, saying he never met a stranger. He, also, valued spending time with family and friends. Moreover, he loved being a grandpa and treasured the time he was able to spend with his grandchildren, his pride and joy. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sons: Matthew (Lea) Larson, of Land O'Lakes, Florida, and Andrew (Wendy) Larson, of Storm Lake; his grandchildren: Jake, Alex, and Casey Larson, of Storm Lake; and Madolin Larson, of Land O'Lakes; his sister, Elaine (Mike) LeRoy, of Bend, Oregon; his sister-in-law, Dawn Larson, of Elk River, Minnesota; and his lifelong best buddy, John Hubbing, of St. Paul, Minnesota; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many friends.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard Larson.

Mark’s family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.
