March 13, 1927 - August 12, 2015

William "Bill" Rosenhauer, age 88, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died on Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at the Newell Good Samaritan Society in Newell, Iowa.

William Francis Rosenhauer, a son of William and Mary (Eckerman) Rosenhauer, was born on March 13, 1927, in Early, Iowa.

Baptized as an infant and confirmed in his faith at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Early, Bill attended country school and then began working on the farm. On November 14, 1950, he enlisted in the United States Army. After serving his country during the Korean Conflict, he was honorably discharged on October 29, 1952. A member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake, Bill, also, belonged to the Knights of Columbus and the Alta VFW Post #6172. Quite the handyman, he, really, enjoyed fixing things.

Those left to cherish his memory include his nephews: Jeff Redman, of Detroit, Oregon, Brent (Marlene) Redman, and their daughters, Katie and Eli, of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida; and his niece, Rene Redman, and her son, Zachary, of Walnut, Iowa; as well as extended family members and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Joyce (James) Redman.

A Funeral Mass will be offered Thursday, August 20, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Early, Iowa. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
