Maria Suzzana Ledesma
March 30, 1990 - July 6, 2015Maria "Suzzy" Ledesma, age 25, of Dallas, Texas, formerly of Storm Lake, Iowa, died on Monday, July 6, 2015, in Dallas.
“Suzzy,” a daughter of Luis and Maria Eva (Lara) Ledesma, was born on March 30, 1990, in Pocatello, Idaho. Baptized in Mexico in 1992, she was currently a member of San Jose Catholic Church in Mexico. She attended school in Storm Lake and graduated from Storm Lake High School in 2008. In January of 2010, she married Javier Galindo in Mexico.
Suzzy worked at Godfather’s Pizza in Storm Lake where she made many friends. She, then, worked for Longlines Wireless for five years and, for a short time, managed the store in Spencer, Iowa, before moving to Texas.
Suzzy valued her health, and she loved to stay active with dancing and Zumba. Moreover, she had once played on the Germany indoor soccer team. She, also, enjoyed cooking, always making sure everyone had enough to eat. Most of all, however, she loved spending time with her family, friends, nieces, and nephews. She had a smile and laugh that could light up a room, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Javier Galindo, of Dallas, Texas; her parents, Luis and Maria Ledesma, of Storm Lake, Iowa; her brothers: Jose (Kylea) Ledesma, and their children: Byan, Brianna, Layton, and a baby boy due in September; and Ricardo Ledesma, and his son, Dylan, of Storm Lake, Iowa; and her paternal grandparents, Carlos Ledesma and Terresa Torres, of Mexico; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Suzzy was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Soledad Garcia and Rafael Lara.
A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, July 11, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Storm Lake. Visitation will take place on Friday, July 10, 2015, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
