Denise Franzkowiak Klink, age 52, of rural Newell, Iowa, died on Thursday, April 23, 2015, at North Lake Manor in Storm Lake.

Denise Darcel Franzkowiak, a daughter of Dwayne and Barbara (Peters) Franzkowiak, was born on October 23, 1962, in Ida Grove, Iowa. Baptized as an infant at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Schaller, she attended grade school in Schaller and then graduated from Storm Lake High School in 1981.

On August 28, 1982, Denise married Michael Raymond Klink at St. Rose of Lima’s Catholic Church in Denison, Iowa. Subsequently, they were blessed with three children: Nicole, Rebecca, and Kyle.

Denise spent her life as a housewife. She, also, worked as a house cleaner for many years.

In her free time, Denise enjoyed camping with her family and spending time with her pets. Most of all, however, Denise loved spending quality time with her three grandchildren, her pride and joy. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Barbara Franzkowiak, of Ida Grove, Iowa; her husband, Mike Klink, of Newell, Iowa; her children: Nicole Ann Klink, of Newell, Iowa, Rebecca Marie (Kyle) Vangilder, of Carroll, Iowa, and Kyle Dwayne (special friend, Rachel Campbell) Klink, of Newell, Iowa; her grandchildren: Kole and Khloee Vangilder, of Carroll, Iowa, and Gracie Klink, of Newell, Iowa; her sisters: Rebecca (Darrell), of Galva, Iowa, and Tammy Kluver, of Ida Grove, Iowa; as well as extended family members and friends.

Denise was preceded in death by her father, Dwayne Franzkowiak; her maternal grandparents, Henry and Olive Peters; and her paternal grandparents, Henry and Dorothy Franzkowiak.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, April 26, 2015, at 4:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Schaller, Iowa. Visitation will take place Saturday, April 25, 2015, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
