Services for Doris Harvey, 87, Storm Lake, formerly of Newell, will be held Tuesday, July 13, at 1:30 p.m. in the Fratzke Funeral Home, Storm Lake, who is in charge of arrangements. Rev. Peter Wenzel of the First Congregational Church, Newell, will officiate. Burial will be in the Newell Cemetery. She died Friday, July 9, at Methodist Manor, following a lengthy illness.

Doris was born April 9, 1906, in Newell to Herbert A. and Myra (Judge) Harvey. She graduated from Newell High School and attended Buena Vista College. She cared for her father until his death. She moved to Storm Lake in the early 1950s to work for Budsell's Furniture and later worked for Consumer Supply Company.

She was a member of the First Congregational Church, Newell, the Order of Eastern Star, and Business and Professional Women of Storm Lake.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister — Gladys Hoch. Survivors include a nephew — Harold R. and Agda Hoch, Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. (Pilot Tribune, July 13, 1993, p. 5).
