December 19, 1972 - August 24, 2014Robert Vesgaard, age 41, of Aurelia, Iowa, died on Sunday, August 24, 2014, at his home in Aurelia.
Robert Vesgaard, a son of Dennis and Alice (Larson) Vesgaard, was born in Cherokee, Iowa, on December 19, 1972. He spent his youth in Aurelia and graduated from the Aurelia High School. He, then, continued his education at the Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon where he studied auto mechanics.
Robert had been employed at the recycling center in Storm Lake, Iowa, before becoming a business entrepreneur, buying and selling all types of collectibles. Those who knew him will always remember him as an avid NASCAR fan.
Robert is lovingly remembered by his mother and her husband, Alice and Marc Nelson, of Cherokee, Iowa; and by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. The Sliefert Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
