November 26, 1954 - June 8, 2013

Buck D. Ingalls, age 58, of Albert City, Iowa, died on June 8, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

Buck Duane Ingalls, the son of George and Barbara (Poffenholz) Ingalls, was born in Ukiah, California, on November 26, 1954. Baptized as an infant, he was later confirmed.

At a young age, Buck moved with his family to Humboldt, Iowa, where he lived his youth and received his education.

On September 20, 1985, Buck married Judy Christensen at the United Methodist Church in Emmetsburg, Iowa.

Buck enjoyed nature and the outdoors. Known as the “handy man” to family and friends, he loved hunting, fishing, and working on cars. Never having met a stranger, he valued spending time with family and friends, especially with his wife, Judy. He also loved his animals very much, especially his dog, Buster.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Judy Ingalls, of Albert City, Iowa; his sister, Cindy Spooner, of Spencer, Iowa; his sisters-in-law: Jackie (Harry) Saftlas, of Emmetsburg, Iowa, Jean Cole, of Rodman, Iowa, Joyce (Cory) Decker, of Rutland, Iowa, and Dee Ingalls, of Marathon, Iowa; his brothers-in-law: John (Brenda) Christensen, of Emmetsburg, Iowa, and Cliff (Tommie) Christensen, of Ruthven, Iowa; and his uncle, Howard Poffenholz, of Laurens, Iowa; as well as many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; special animals: dog, Buster, cats, Taz and Sheldon; and extended family and friends.

Buck was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Rex Ingalls; and his parents-in-law, Gordon and Opal Christensen.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, June 15, 2013, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Sliefert Funeral Home in Albert City. The Sliefert Funeral Home in Albert City is in charge of the arrangements.
