Mary Johnson
December 29, 1954 - February 24, 2013Mary Johnson, 58, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
Mary was born December 29, 1954, in Alta to Cyril and Bettie Kjolhede.
She worked for Principal Financial for more than thirty-five years as a senior business coordinator. A dance mom and animal lover, she also enjoyed reading, cooking, playing games, being outdoors, gardening, planning family vacations and spending time with her family, especially Caleb.
Mary is survived by her husband, Bryon; her children, Alex Johnson (Todd) and Rachel Colburn (Jave); her grandson, Caleb Colburn; and her siblings, David and Julie.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Mary.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 1, 2013, at the Ankeny First United Methodist Church. A private burial will be held at a later date at Ankeny Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
