Marilyn Johnson, 80, passed away on January 30, 2012.

Marilyn was born on October 16, 1931, in Spencer to Mike and Laura Johnson. She grew up in Gillett Grove and Marathon until 1949 when she moved to Des Moines. She graduated from Drake University and worked as a secretary at the Department of Agriculture and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation for the state of Iowa, retiring after thirty years of service.

Marilyn is survived by several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Laura Johnson.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at the Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel. Burial followed at Resthaven Cemetery in Des Moines.
