Kham was united in marriage to Doung Chanchom in Laos. Together, they were blessed with seven children: Donsavan, Patrick (Khamsone), Phetsamone, Somphone, Khamphanh, Malichanh, and Kair.

Kham and her family moved to California in 1983 and to Storm Lake in 2009.

She enjoyed gardening, especially vegetable gardening, and was a very good cook. Kham enjoyed watching Thai movies with her family and friends. She treasured her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Donsavan (Chanchom) Luangpaserth, Patrick (Khamsone) Chanchom, Phetsamone Chanchom, Khamphanh Chanchom, and Malichanh Chanchom; her brothers: Hall Chanchom and Theo Chanchom; and her sisters: Phengta Chanchom and Kongkeo Keovilai; as well as extended family and friends.

Kham was preceded in death by her husband, Doung Chanchom; her parents, Intong and Khambou Chanchom; her daughter, Somphone Chanchom; her son, Kair Chanchom; and her brothers, Hari Chanchom and Lor Chanchom.

Funeral Service: 1:30 p.m. July 09, 2011, at thee Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake, Iowa.
Kham Chanchom, age 67, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died July 1, 2011, at her home in Storm Lake.
Kham Chanchom was born October 10, 1943, in Laos the daughter of Khambou and Intong Chanchom.
