August 31, 1918 - June 20, 2011

Marion K. Sievers, age 92, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died Monday, June 20, 2011, at the Methodist Manor Retirement Community in Storm Lake.

Marion K. Eickhoff, the daughter of Charles and Anna (Boettcher) Eickhoff was born in rural Storm Lake, Iowa, on August 31, 1918. She was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church and later confirmed at that church by Reverend Frank Albrecht in 1933. Marion received her education at Zion Lutheran Parochial School. In 1936, she moved with her parents into Storm Lake.

On February 17, 1948, Marion was united in marriage to Ingvahl Sievers at St. John’s Lutheran Church parsonage in Storm Lake. This union was blessed with three sons: Brian, Craig, and Kevin. Ingvahl passed away on June 20, 1991.

Marion worked at various jobs throughout her lifetime, most recently for Drs. Hansen and Prescott.

Marion was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and the Zion Lutheran Ladies Aid Society. She had many varied interests which included reading, gardening, sewing, knitting, crocheting and quilting.

Marion’s life will always be honored and cherished by her children: Brian Sievers, of Storm Lake, Iowa, Craig (Barbara) Sievers, of Lynnwood, Washington, and Kevin (Deborah) Sievers, of Monroe, Washington; her grandchildren: Josh (Laura) Sievers, of Alton, Iowa, Cory (Tracie) Sievers, of Collins, Iowa, Sarah Sievers, of Bothel, Washington, Colin Sievers, of Lynnwood, Washington, and Nikki Sievers, of Lynnwood, Washington; her great grandchildren: Owen and Marshall Sievers, of Alton, Iowa, and Nichole and Drake Ross, of Collins, Iowa; and her brother, Loren (Lorraine) Eickhoff, of Iowa City, Iowa; as well as extended family and many lifelong friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ingvahl; her parents; her sister, Flora Moore; and her brother, Charles Eickhoff
