September 9, 1976 - May 7, 2011Yosner Sahm, age 34, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died May 5, 2011, at his home in Storm Lake.
Yosner Sahm, the son of Joseph and Marisana (Sonden) Sahm, was born in Sapwuahfik, Micronesia, on September 9, 1976.
Yosner lived his youth and received his education in Micronesia before coming to the United States in 2003. He first lived in Monterey, California, and then in Clearwater, Florida, prior to making his home in Storm Lake.
Yosner’s special interests included baseball and fishing.
He is survived by his brother, Isoper Sahm, of Palm Harbor, Florida; three sisters: Atsiana Benjamin, of Monterey, California, Monalisa Palabay, of the Philippines, and Carmen Sonden of Micronesia; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Miller; and a sister, Glorida.
A Funeral mass will be offered at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 7, 2011, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Storm Lake. The Sliefert Funeral Home of Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
