Barbara Hull, 86, of Humboldt, passed away April 3, 2011, at Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge.
Barbara Kindall, the daughter of Elmer and Clara (Bell) Kindall, was born May 6, 1924, at Alta. She graduated from Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls with a Bachelor's and a Master's degree. She started teaching in high school, and after earning her Master's, she taught at Iowa Central Community College, retiring from teaching in 1986. She was the State advisor for PHI BETA LAMBDA for some time.
Barbara's first husband, Harold Sunner, died in 1975, and in 1979, she married Fred Hull. Barbara was very active in the Methodist Church and Sunday School and loved to play bridge whenever she could. Fred and Barbara traveled to all fifty states, and they loved to winter in Texas or Arizona.
Barbara is survived by her husband Fred; her sons, Gregg (Audrey) Sunner, Ankeny, Scott Sunner, Moline, Illinois, and Stepson Mark Hull, St. Paul, Minnesota; her grandchildren Kim Sunner, Julie Sunner, Kelli Sunner, Abbi Sunner and a step granddaughter Jenna Hull; her great-granddaughter, Peyton Sunner; and her sister, Delaine Olson, of Spirit Lake. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Sunner, and a stepson, Tom Hull.
Funeral services were held April 7, 2011, at the United Methodist Church in Humboldt. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove. The Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt was in charge of arrangements.
