Storm Lake, IowaLorraine Helen Bauer, age 76, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died March 21, 2011, at the Good Samaritan Home in Newell, Iowa.
Lorraine Helen Peterson was born May 2, 1934, to John and Edythe (Partridge) Peterson in Storm Lake. She attended school in Truesdale and graduated from high school in 1952.
On March 16, 1953, she was united in marriage to James Bauer in Jackson, Minnesota. This union was blessed with one child, Steven.
Lorraine was an extraordinary homemaker and had a passion for caring for others. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially gardening. Lorraine liked to cook and treasured the times she spent with family and friends.
Those left to cherish in her memory include her son, Steve Bauer, of Omaha, Nebraska, as well as extended family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; and her brother, Raymond Peterson.
Memorial Service: 2-4:00 p.m. March 26, 2011, at the McCord Manor in Storm Lake, Iowa.
