Eileen Weiland, 69, died Monday, March 13, 1988, at her home in Alta. Services were Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Alta with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Eileen Johns was born January 18, 1919, in Aurelia. She was united in marriage with Clarence Weiland on February 11, 1947, in Jackson, Minnesota. They lived on a farm south of Alta, moving into town in 1969.

She is survived by her husband; three sons, Ordell and Marlin, both of Alta, and Marlin, of Glendale, Arizona; a daughter, Sally (Mrs. Mark) Johnson, of Emmetsburg; a brother Elgin Johns, of Willmar, Minnesota; and ten grandchildren (Alta Advertiser 3-23-1988).
