Elinor Martha Leone Fahr, 67, formerly of Alta, died on Thursday, May 15, 2003, at Creighton Medical Center in Omaha.

Elinor was born October 13, 1935, the daughter of Edgar Henry and Alice Matilda (Menke) Fahr in rural Alta. She was baptized on October 27, 1935, and confirmed on April 2, 1950, in Hanover. Elinor was a life-long member of St. John Lutheran Church in Hanover.

She attended St. John's Parochial School and Aurelia Consolidated School, graduating from Aurelia High School. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.

Elinor is survived by her mother, Alice Fahr, of Storm Lake; two brothers, Burdette Fahr, and his wife, Margret, of Corning, and Randy Fahr, and his wife, Annette, of Eldora; two nieces; three nephews; and many relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Edgar Fahr, and her sister, Marrianna Cormany.

Funeral services for Elinor Fahr were held on Monday, May 19, 2003, at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Alta with Pastor Mark Abraham officiating. Burial was in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Alta.
