Christopher E. Hauer was born May 28, 1974, to Linda and Edson Hauer. He grew up and received his education in Binghamton, N.Y.
Chris recently moved to Storm Lake and worked for GCC, delivering concrete. Prior to moving to Iowa, Chris lived and worked in Binghamton, N.Y., driving truck for WestCode Ent. He loved driving and took with him many great memories of his cross country travels. Chris brought his daughters, Emily and Abigail, to Storm Lake hoping to provide them a better future. He loved to write, delving into poetry and song lyrics. He had started writing a novel. Another of Chris's favorite pastimes was playing the guitar, and in his earlier years he played in a local cover band. He had many stories of his endeavors which he loved to share.
Chris dreamed of, one day, bringing a part of N.Y. to Storm Lake. He loved to cook and was planning to open a New York style sandwich shop in the local area.
Chris had an amazing sense of humor and was sure to bring laughs to anyone he crossed paths with. He loved and cherished his family and friends very much. He will be incredibly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
