John Baker Krout

J.B. Krout, 89, Dies at Rembrandt
J.B. Krout of Rembrandt, grandfather of Mrs. M.D. Pressel, died Saturday, 23 December. He had recently been at Iowa City, where medical science was of no avail in alleviating his ailment. He was past 89 years of age.
He had been married 70 years to the day of his passing.
Funeral services were held at Rembrandt on Tuesday, Dec 26, with burial at Sioux Rapids. Mr. and Mrs. Pressel were among the seventy relatives attending the rites.
Surviving are his wife, nine children, 68 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren. One child preceded him in death.
