Lydia Mae Detloff - Feb. 23, 1882 - Nov. 7, 1954

Mrs. Lydia Mae Detloff, 72, died Nov. 7, 1954, at Sacred Heart hospital.

She came to Plymouth County from Storm Lake as a girl.

Surviving are six sons, including John and Glenn of Le Mars; a brother; and five sisters, including Dora Eyres of Le Mars and Mrs. Agnes Osborne of Alton.

Funeral services were Wednesday in Le Mars.

Lydia Mae Detloff - Feb. 23, 1882 - Nov. 7, 1954

Mrs. Lydia Mae Detloff of 421 Central Ave., S. W., in Le Mars passed away November 7, 1954, at the Sacred Heart hospital here after a sickness which lasted since last April.

Lydia Mae Pech was born February 23, 1882, at Storm Lake, Iowa, and came to Plymouth county as a girl. She has since lived here.

On May 9, 1906, she was united in marriage with Wm. J. H. Detloff in Le Mars. He passed away in May, 1954.

Survivors include six sons: John of Le Mars, Robert of El Cerrito, California, Warren of Orenda, California, Carl of Sturgis, Michigan, Glenn of Le Mars, and Wayne of Little Rock, Arkansas. A brother, Clarence of Sioux City survives as do five sisters, Mrs. Dora Eyres of Le Mars, Mrs. Agnes Osborne of Alton, Mrs. Rena Fowler of Oakland, California, Mrs. Ann Caldwell of Far Rockaway, New York, and Mrs. Mabel Filers of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one daughter in infancy.

She was a member of the Presbyterian church in Le Mars.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1954, at 2:00 p. m. at the Mauer funeral home in Le Mars with burial in the Le Mars City cemetery. Rev. James Ransom will officiate.
