Brice N. Jepson, age 48, of Storm Lake, Iowa, passed away on Friday, July 2, 2010, at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center after a one year battle with cancer. He was surrounded by friends and family.
Brice was born April 21, 1962, in Farmington, Maine, the son of Emerson Jepson and Genese (Kennedy) Jepson Green.
He moved to Iowa at a young age and graduated from Storm Lake High School. He worked at different packing plants and also did janitorial work. He was employed by Genesis Development as a janitor at the time of his illness.
Brice was a caring and giving person, and he was a proud grandpa of seven grandchildren. He enjoyed watching wrestling on TV and going fishing.
He was granted a wish from the Dream Foundation and enjoyed a trip to his home state of Maine with his sister just weeks before his death. The highlight of his trip was being reunited with a grade school buddy, Stuart, that he hadn’t seen in 38 years and being able to go fishing with him.
Brice was divorced. He is survived by three sons: Joseph and wife Jen of Spencer; Justin and wife Katie of Storm Lake; and Jacob and wife Crystal of Early. His grandchildren: Danielle, Quintin, and Austin Jepson; Ana and Hunter Lloyd; Braiden and Melanie Jepson; sister, Becky and her husband Walt Werner of Kingsley; brother, Walter, and father, Emerson, of Maine; several nieces and nephews in Iowa and Maine.
Brice was preceded in death by his mother, Genese, in 2001; brother, Brian, in 2002; brother, Emerson “Butchy,” in 2003 and maternal and paternal grandparents.
