Lyela Nuzum - July 5, 1927 - June 3, 2002

Lyela May Nuzum, 74, of Truesdale, died on Monday, June 3, 2002, at her home in Truesdale.

Lyela May Rowe was born on July 5, 1927, at Missouri Valley, the daughter of Lorny and Cynthia (Trenchmeyer) Rowe. On July 4, 1945, Lyela was united in marriage to Edward Nuzum at Missouri Valley. She enjoyed crocheting, drawing, and sewing.

Preceding Lyela in death were her parents, one daughter, Sandy Ettleman, three sister, and two brothers.

Survivors include her husband Edward of Truesdale, five children, Linda Nuzum of Kansas City, KS., Randy and his wife Cindy Nuzum of Topeka, KS, Julie and her husband Steven Ross of Varina, Edward Nuzum, Jr., of Storm Lake, Patsy and her husband Randy Hess of Harlin; eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Private family services for Lyela Nuzum will be held at a later date.

There will be no visitation. The Sliefert Redig Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of arrangements.
