Funeral Services for James D. Hemmingsen, 76, of Newell will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, at the United Methodist Church in Newell with Reverend Parsons Officiating.

Burial will be in the Newell Cemetery with military graveside rites by the American Legion Post No. 193 of Newell. Friends may call at the Fratzke Jensen Funeral Home in Newell after 3:30 on Tuesday with the family present 7 - 8:30 p.m.

His family includes his wife, Jean, one daughter and her husband, Sharon and John Simpson of Hastings, Minn., one son and his wife, Thomas and Kim Hemmingsen of Newell; four grandchildren and one great grandson; his brother, Gail Hemmingsen and wife Miriam of Leesburg, Texas; and his sister Joyce Bayliss of Carmichael, Ca.
