Noreen M. Foxhoven, 64, of Fremont, NE., formerly of Storm Lake, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2002, at the Fremont Area Medical Center.

Noreen was born March 9, 1937, in Mapleton, Iowa, the daughter of Norbert and Ethel (Kurth) Wessling. She grew up in the Mapleton and Danbury area. She was a 1955 graduate of Danbury High School.

After her marriage to Richard D. Foxhoven on October 8, 1955, the couple lived at Sioux City for one and a half years and then lived at Danbury. They moved first to Storm Lake, then to Columbus, NE., and finally to Fremont in 1970.

She worked at Vigortone Ag Products in Fremont for 22 years and most recently was employed by the Fremont Public Schools Transportation System.

Noreen was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and St. Patrick's Women in Fremont.

Survivors include her husband Richard, Fremont; two sons and daughter-in-law, Rick and Patty Foxhoven and Greg Foxhoven all of Fremont; three daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Dean Papa, Fremont, Joan and Phil Filarecki, Omaha; and Jeanette and David Walter, Fremont; a brother, Kenneth Wessling, Danbury; a sister, Wilma and husband, Norman Clausen, Danbury; and 11 grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Norbert and Ethel (Kurth) Wessling; and sister-in-law, Judy Wessling.

A memorial fund has been established with St. Patrick's New Church Building Fund or Bergan Jr. and Sr. High School, both of Fremont.

Funeral services for Noreen Foxhoven will be Thursday, January 24, 2002, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Fremont, NE., with Father Owen Korte officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Fremont.

Moser Memorial Chapel, Fremont, is in charge of arrangements.
