Jane A. Pilling, 81, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, died Sunday, October 21, 2001, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas. She was born Feb. 4, 1920, in Cherokee County to Lloyd Scott and Vera Dailey Scott.

She moved to Bella Vista on November 1, 1982, from Storm Lake. She was a member of P.E.O. and the D.A.R. as well as a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bentonville. She enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge, and watching birds.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Jack A. Rose; two brothers, Bill Scott and Frank Scott and two sons, Scott T. Pilling and Charles W. Pilling.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Alan Pilling of Bella Vista, Arkansas; one son, John A. Pilling and wife Anne of Cedar Rapids, and two grandchildren, Kristin Davis and Luke E. Pilling.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 25, 2001, at the First Presbyterian Church, 406 West Central, Bentonville, Arkansas, with Reverend Gordon Garlington III officiating. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Charles and Scott Pulling Scholarship Fund, c/o Lakeside Presbyterian Church, 110 East Third Street, Storm Lake, Iowa 50588, or to the First Presbyterian Church, 406 West Central, Bentonville, Arkansas 72712.
