Blanche Stevens, 96, of Storm Lake, passed away on September 5, 2001, at the Buena Vista Manor in Storm Lake.

Blanche, daughter of David and Mary (Simmons) Eisele was born June 9, 1905, at Saltillo, Neb. She lived with her family in the Lincoln area, receiving her education in the Lincoln School System.

Blanche married Harold Stevens on July 3, 1935, at the First Christian Church in Lincoln. The couple moved to Estherville where they ran the Henry Field Store for a short period of time and then owned and operated the Henry Field Store in Storm Lake.

Blanche lived in Storm Lake for 52 years.

Blanche moved from her home on Lake Avenue to the Buena Vista Manor in Storm Lake in April.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold and other immediate family member.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for were held on September 8, 2001, at Sliefert Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Barber officiating.

Interment was at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, Lincoln, Neb., on September 10, 2001. The Sliefert Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
