Mrs. Carlberg passed away Thursday, March 15, 2001.

Vera Huseman was born March 13, 1926, in Sioux Rapids. She was raised on a farm in Iowa.

In 1947 she married Darrell D. Carlberg. She was a homemaker who moved to Portland, Ore., from Virginia in 1972. She later lived in Santa Paula, Calif., before returning to Portland in 1993. Her husband passed away in 1998.

Mrs. Carlberg is survived by three sons: Deane, David and Douglas; one daughter Debra Rochon; three sisters: Nancy Anderson, Norma Nester and Olive Quilliam; one brother Robert Huseman and nine grandchildren.
