Beth Rouse Warford, 39, of Ankeny, formerly of Storm Lake, passed away Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001, at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City during stem cell treatment for cancer.

Beth LuDean, the daughter of Donald and Kayleen (Koch) Rouse, was born June 15, 1961, in Fort Belvior, Va. She graduated from Grundy Center High School in 1979 and from Simpson College in 1983.

She moved to Storm Lake in 1983 as a member of the Iowa State Patrol and later worked as a special agent for the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement.

On April 13, 1996, she married Jeff Warford in Grundy Center.

She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Grundy Center, a member of the alumni board at Simpson College, and a member of Wa-Tan-Ye and the Iowa Association of Women Police.

Mrs. Warford was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents William and Bernice Koch and by her paternal grandfather Floyd A. Rouse.

She is survived by her husband Jeff of Ankeny; parents Donald and Kayleen Rouse; one brother Martin Rouse and her paternal grandmother Ireine Rouse, all of Grundy Center.

Funeral services for Mrs. Warford were held Monday, Feb. 5, 2001, at First Presbyterian Church in Grundy Center. Rev. Daniel C. Graham officiated at the 1:30 p.m. service.

Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery. The Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home of Grundy Center was in charge of the arrangements.
