Gusta Myers, 87, of Sac City, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2001, at Park View Care Center in Sac City.

Gusta A, the daughter of Charles and Emma (Paeper) Henrich, was born Feb. 7, 1913, in Douglas Township, Sac County. She was baptized as an infant and graduated from Douglas Township School.

On Dec. 30, 1933, she was united in marriage to Clayton Myers in Pocahontas. The couple lived on a farm in Douglas Township until moving into Sac City in 1988.

Mrs. Myers was a member of the Newell United Methodist Church and also the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, and fishing in her younger years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and six brothers: Milton, Elwood, Glenn, William Sr. and Carl and Ernest in infancy.

Funeral services for Mrs. Myers will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, Feb. 8, 2001, at the United Methodist Church in Newell with Rev. Geneva Parsons officiating.

Burial will be in Newell Cemetery. The Farber and Otteman Funeral Home in Newell is in charge of the arrangements.
