Edward Miller, 70, of Marshalltown, formerly of Storm Lake, passed away Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown.

Edward P., the son of Philip and Eleanor (Miles) Miller, was born May 11, 1930, in Storm Lake. He received his education and graduated from Truesdale High School. He later served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War.

Mr. Miller was a member of Knights of Columbus and the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his father and an infant brother.

Mr. Miller is survived by his mother Eleanor Miller of Storm Lake; five sisters and their spouses: Jean and Richard Kestel of Arnolds Park, Joan and Gordon Burns of Urbandale, Marilyn and Duane Schimmer of Sutherland; Nancy and Tom Greaves of DeWitt, Mich., and Judy and Jim Twohig of Jackson, Neb.; three brothers and their wives: Robert and Sondra Miller of Rock Valley, James and Joy Miller of Minneapolis, Minn., and Tim and Sal Miller of Cedar Rapids; 24 nieces, nephews and their families.

A Mass of Christian burial for Mr. Miller will be celebrated today, Feb. 20, 2001, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Father Robert J. Schimmer will officiate at the 10 a.m. service.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Storm Lake. Presentation of the flag will be made by Amvets Post 66 of Storm Lake. The Farber and Otteman Funeral Home of Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
