Monte Gross, 46, of Sharpsburg, Ga., died Jan. 7, 2001, in Sharpsburg. He was born Aug. 22, 1954, in Storm Lake and was a graduate of Sioux Rapids High School.

He is survived by his wife Kathleen L. Gross of Sharpsburg, Ga., two daughters: Erika Keiger of Charleston, S.C. and Stacy Gross of Sharpsburg; one brother Mark Gross of Santa Barbara, Calif.; one sister Georgia Cross of Spencer; one granddaughter; nine nieces and nephews and his step-father, Norman Knudtson.

Memorial services for Mr. Gross were held Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2001, at the Marathon United Methodist Church in Marathon. Rev. David Schumann officiated at the 10 a.m. service. The Carl J. Mowell and Son Funeral Home of Peach Tree City, Ga., was in charge of the arrangements.
