Obituary from the Alta, IA, Alta Advertiser, April 21, 1905
Aurelia Sentinel: Mrs. Henrich Hoffmeier, living seven miles southeast of here, died very suddenly some time during the night last Friday. The husband arose in the morning and started a fire in the cook stove and later returned to call his wife and found her cold in death. She was a German woman sixty-six years of age. The funeral was conducted from the Hanover church Tuesday afternoon and interment made at Hanover cemetery. Their farm is on section one, Diamond township. Of late years a son has been conducting the place.
