Ferrell Quentin, the son of William Downton and Marry Emma [Miller]** Dotson, was born Nov. 12, 1919, in Palestine, W.V. He graduated from high school in West Virginia and attended Lambuth College and received his MBA degree from Northwestern University in Chicago.
On May 26, 1946, he was united in marriage to Marguerite C. Summy in Liberty, Ill.
Mr. Dotson served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II and was an active member of the SCORE volunteers in Storm Lake. He had been a resident of Storm Lake since 1992. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Storm Lake and was a member of the Christian Reformed Church in Elmhurst, Ill.
Mr. Dotson was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Marguerite on March 3, 2000; four brothers and one sister.
He is survived by one daughter Diana Bergland and her husband Lyn of Lakeside; one son Robert Dotson and his wife Elna of Utica, Ill.; five grandchildren; three brothers: Charles Dotson and his wife Nellie of Gallipolis, Ohio, Darrell Dotson of Glendale, Ariz., and Clyde Dotson and his wife Pauline of St. Petersburg, Fla.; one sister Pearle DeQuasie, Parkersburg, W.V.; four sisters-in-law: Eleanor Stauffer, Kirksville, Mo., Lorraine Murphy, Pekin Ill., Carlene and Kenneth Waters, Liberty, Mo. and Kathleen and Clyde Kurfman, Mount Sterling, Ill; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
