Robert W. Kinney - Dec. 4, 1928 - Nov. 11, 2008

Robert W. Kinney, age 79, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died Tuesday, November 11, 2008, at the Spencer Hospital in Spencer, Iowa.

Robert was born on December 4, 1928, in rural Odebolt, Iowa.

Following his marriage to Patricia Jersey, the couple was blessed with four children: Eugene, Timothy, Jeffrey and Michael. On December 2, 1979, Robert was united in marriage to Mona McLauglin.

Over the years, Robert farmed in the Cleghorn area, and later he painted houses, mowed lawns and did yard work for a living. He loved working outside and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Additionally, Robert enjoyed socializing with people and will be deeply missed. He will be remembered as a loving husband and a hard worker.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of almost 29 years, Mona Kinney, of Storm Lake; his children: Eugene Kinney of Meridan, Iowa; Timothy Kinney and his wife, Angie, of Meridan, Iowa; Jeffrey Kinney of Storm Lake; Michael Kinney and his wife, Sarah, of Spirit Lake, Iowa; grandchildren: Levi Kinney and wife Rebecca, Gina Kinney, Zachary, Emma and Wyatt Kinney; one great-grandchild; and other extended family and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
