Grace Mary Coombs, 81, was granted her angel wings on April 11, 2010. She spent her final days surrounded by her loving family.
Grace was born Dec. 24, 1928, in Storm Lake to Harold and Mary Peck. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Storm Lake and later married Robert Zoma Coombs at St. Mary's Parish on May 21, 1949. She lived in California and Iowa before retiring to Arizona.
Her interests included camping, fishing, gardening, sewing, crocheting, and doing crossword puzzles. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend who put everyone else's needs before her own.
Grace is survived by her husband, Robert Zoma Coombs; her children Lynn (Steve) Walton; Scott (Lori) Coombs; Pam (Charlie) Yeager; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sisters Katie Letts (Cherokee), Bernice Henke (Cherokee), Rosie Charbonneau (Sioux City); brother Bob Peck (Storm Lake); sisters-in-law Betty Peck (Storm Lake), Lois Peck (Storm Lake), Gloria Lansford (Oregon); and many nieces and nephews.
Our most sincere thanks to the staff at Extended Family where she lived for the past year. In her increasing battle against dementia, the staff at Extended Family were always patient and loving to her.

A memorial will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at Las Candelas located at 401 East Limberlost in Tucson, AZ. Family and friends are welcome.
