Phout Phanthavong - Feb. 5, 1945 - Feb. 9, 2007

Phout Phanthavong, age 62, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died Friday, February 9, 2007, at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake.

Phout Phanthavong was born February 5, 1945, in Muang Village, Piboon County, Ubon Rathsathany Province, Thailand, the daughter of Boua Somsamer and Boun Kham Phoumchanh.

In November of 1965, Phout was united in marriage to Thot Phanthavong in Laos. This union was blessed with eight children. She worked at Tyson Fresh Meats while living in Storm Lake.

Left to cherish her memory are her father, Boua Somsamer; her husband, Thot Phanthavong; seven sons; one daughter; one brother; one sister; ten grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and a host of friends.

Phout was preceded in death by her mother, two brothers and one sister.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2007, at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Burial will be at the Storm Lake Cemetery. There will be no visitation. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
