Charles R. Pearson - Aug. 18, 1947 - Mar. 6, 2006

Charles R. Pearson, age 58, died Monday, March 6, 2006, in Marshalltown, Iowa.

Charles Richard Pearson was born August 18, 1947, in Cherokee, Iowa. His parents were Sylvester and Edith (Peterson) Pearson. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Albert City. He received his education in the Albert City school, but joined the United States Navy before he could graduate. Charles completed his G.E.D. while he was serving in the Navy.

Charles was employed in construction until he was disabled in 1994 with a heart condition. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and playing cards. Charles loved spending time with his family and was a friend to all animals. He enjoyed people and liked to socialize with his friends. Charles liked working on cars and trucks with his step-sons.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Lisa and husband Nate Cox of Marshalltown, Iowa; step-children: Laura Brown of Largo, Florida, John Wyatt and Jeff Wyatt, both of Largo, Florida; grandchildren: Shylin Cox and Kaylie Cox; a step-grandchild, Joey Brown; sister Carolyn Wilson of Lakeside, Iowa; extended family and many friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Edith Pearson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 11, 2006, at 1:30 p.m. at the Sliefert Funeral Home in Albert City, Iowa, with Pastor David Bernhardt officiating. Burial will be in the Fairfield Township Cemetery in Albert City. The Sliefert Funeral Home in Albert City is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held on Saturday at the Sliefert Funeral Home in Albert City for one hour prior to the beginning of funeral services.
