Connie K. Movall, age 56, of Linn Grove, Iowa, died on Thursday, September 28, 2006, at the Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.
Connie Kay Braunschweig, the daughter of Theodore and Evelyn (Westphal) Braunschweig, was born on July 23, 1950, at Cherokee, Iowa. She was baptized at the Immanuel Lutheran Church and confirmed at the Zion Lutheran Church. Connie was a 1968 graduate of the Albert City Community School. She continued her education at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa, where she received her elementary education degree.
She was united in marriage to Steve Leroy Movall on May 27, 1972, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church at Alta, Iowa, and this union was blessed with four children: Karen, Brian, Bruce, and David. Connie dedicated her life to teaching children. She was a Junior High reading teacher at the Sioux Central Community Schools in Sioux Rapids for the past 20 years.
Those who will always love and cherish her memory are her husband: Steve of Linn Grove, Iowa, her children: Karen, and her husband, Dwayne Salmon, Jr., of Garner, Iowa, and their children: Katrina and Rachel; Brian Movall of Hartley, Iowa; Bruce Movall of Linn Grove, Iowa; David Movall of Linn Grove, Iowa; her mother: Evelyn Braunschweig of Alta, Iowa, three brothers and their wives: Jerry and Connie Braunschweig of Alta, Iowa, Dan and Joanne Braunschweig of Laurens, Iowa, and Randall Braunschweig of Newell, Iowa, other relatives and many friends.
Connie was preceded in death by her father, Theodore Braunschweig, and two brothers: Ronnie and Jimmy Braunschweig.
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church at Linn Grove, Iowa. Connie will be remembered as an avid reader. She also enjoyed making wine, gardening, and Connie landscaped their acreage.
Funeral services for Mrs. Movall will be held on Monday, October 2, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Linn Grove with Pastor D. Duane Olson officiating. Interment will be in the Barnes Township Cemetery in Linn Grove, Iowa.
Friends may call on Sunday, October 1, 2006, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Sliefert Funeral Home in Sioux Rapids where the family will be present.
