She was a member of Sigma Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority, the I.E.A., N.E.A., as well as a member of the Danish Sisterhood. Vivian and Herluf both enjoyed and taught Danish Folk Dancing. She was a faithful, active, lifetime member of Nain Lutheran Church in Newell where she taught Sunday school. She enjoyed playing piano, reading and gardening. Vivian found pleasure in nature and especially in watching birds. She was always happy to spot her favorite, the cardinal.
