Joshua was born April 15, 2004, in Sioux City, Iowa. He died June 18, 2005, at University Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.

Funeral services for one-year-old Joshua Ryan Castro, son of Eliseo and Xiomara Castro of Alta, Iowa, were held at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake with Father Matt Hewitt officiating. Burial is in Woodlawn Cemetery at Alta.

Visitation was held on Monday, June 20, 2005, at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m.
